Meet Jim

I’ve always loved creating and building—ever since I was a kid. I was fortunate to have an uncle who was a builder, and I spent my early years working alongside him on homes along the Massachusetts coastline. In my early twenties, I joined the Army and traveled from Europe to Alaska as a helicopter mechanic, gaining skills and experiences that shaped who I am today.

My wife, Linda, and I have been married for 37 wonderful years, and we have two beautiful daughters who’ve grown into exceptional women. Our oldest gifted me my favorite title—“Papa”—and we now have twin granddaughters and one very energetic little grandson. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed building and renovating several homes for our family, from the coast of Maine to the coast of Florida. These days, we’re happily settled near our grandkids in Chattanooga, Tennessee—because how could we possibly resist being close to them?

God has been incredibly good to us, and with a little nudge of encouragement, Jireh Custom Furniture was born. The name “Jireh” means “provider,” and this craft truly feels like something He’s placed in my hands to share.

I hope you enjoy exploring some of my creations and restorations. And if there’s a piece you’ve been dreaming of—something you can’t find in the marketplace or something meant to become a family heirloom—please don’t hesitate to reach out.

God bless,

Jim
